Be An Actuary

Its 2006 , the completion of my graduation degree from the best college of India , IIT .. Finally the hard work paved the way to a settled career, a job in Indian Oil with a decent pay package in Oil and Gas Sector and an IIT degree with a CGPA of 8.72. What else a contented Man needs. But a desire which was always left inside the deep roots of mind.. The desire to prove my mark every where…Where ever I move on , i leave a trail of my presence.. This prompted me to think some thing huge which I could achieve in my career. So what comes on the charts… Buddy 1 says ” Hey Anand, dude you gotta do MS bro.. U got a kool CG.. Wat abt another Exp Deg in Chemical Engineering ” Leave it pals sounds boring…..

Neither an MBA would fetch me satisfaction.. Then i though deeply about what I think I am and what I can be? A career that makes me the Big Boss of the most complex things in this world. A career that would fetch me the satisfaction and earing no other career can.. Here I met one of a person who gave me the direction to go. While packed up for IOCL job and moving through by a train from Chandigarh (India ) to New Delhi ( Capital , India) , i met this person who was working in LIC, India ( Life Insurance Corporation , India) . We did a lot of discussion regarding fields such as Engineering, Finance, Insurance and careers such as B. Tech < MBAs and all.. Then suddenly , i asked him what is an actuary.. Let me tell you friends, I came to know about the term actuary when I was studying in fourth year in Engineering in IIT . I had a presentation on Solvency Margin and LIC…where i read articles by actuaries. I wondered who are they.. That person in the train (Mr..,.Verma i guess) told me the first lines about actuary ” He is a person who is always covered all around by numbers and typical calculations. If you are tired of wasting your time and you want not even a second to spare, be an actuary. Told me that this is the highest paid job in any country and I was surprised as to why dont people know about it? Then he gave me all the knowledge i needed to know about the work of actuary and the kind of challenges he faces…” Days passed, i was made an Executive Officer of Indian Oil , an employee loyal to his countrymen working for ths most profitable business of India… Refinery and Indian Oil being the company that generates maximum profits to Indian Govt. Gave me a feeling of patriotism initially but sooner I felt there is more i want to give in…. Months passed. The desire left inside grew day by day. Gave MBA exams . Got selected in best universities too..except the top ones IIMs ..No probs coz I didnt prepared at all. But realised thats not a career I want. I like MBA yes i do.. Thats why some day, thousands of MBAs would be working for me. And thats my desire thats burning me day by day/.. Each day fire aggreviates more and more.. Now has come a time to ignite the fuel inside.. Now is the time i have to hit on the world…So lets start it NOW -this moment as i write it…. Start of a new Career in which there are no limits no rules and no conventional standards would be followed and that would be started with me getting a knowledge thats supreme that can be applied to any work i do. Any job.. Presently , I am equipped with the Gold Shines of an IIT…. An institute where you are not made an Engineer. Rater you come out as a Mr. Perfect of everything… Wherever you go , you are recognized. Oh yea. Mr. Arora from IIT : How are you doing , Sir?

Now what about adding another tag..

Oh Yea Mr. Arora from IIT who is the leading actuary of India, now started his premium company thats soon gonna hit out all the charts….

And then one day

Here he is.,… Mr. Arora ( Perfect), an IITian who finally took the advice of his heart and is currently the leading Business Tycoons f the world…

Nice to hear .Isn’t it? But it would take a lot of Sweat and Blood from my body , mind as well as my heart….

All ready to give in…. here i start a new career.

Forgetting all the mistakes I made in the past, forgetting all the bad things that happened to me.. Changing each day to become a better person to live in.. a better life……

I start this day…By taking a pledge that I will give all my efforrts to realise the DREAM that is still fresh in my mind and that keeps me motivated through out….

In this Blog , i will keep on updating regarding what all sequences are now entering in my preparation not just to be an actuary but to be a Perfect Mr. Arora
